Re: “Mi Nidito

The most overrated Mexican restaurant in town. Living on its publicity from Clinton's visit decades ago. Long waits, poor service, commercial grade food. One reviewer says "authentic Tucson style Mexican food." What a joke. Well, it's Tucson style if you like Circle K style food. There is nothing remotely authentic Mexican about the stuff Mi Nidito serves, unless you are addicted to orange cheese and shredded lettuce on top of everything.

Re: “Student Housing Shakedown

I remember the dumps I lived in in college, the roach-ridden, floor sagging, stinking houses built in the 1920 that were rented to students for exorbitant prices. The plumbing was horrible, the kitchens worse, the bathrooms a place you didn't want to ever go.

This was in Texas, but the slum lords were the same quality. I would have given anything to have been able to live in housing like Goodman is building. And "destroying neighborhoods?" Give me a break. These are not neighborhoods of old friends and neighbors. They are slums for students.

Re: “Danehy

Politics is a virus that attacks everyone who engages in it. It attacks the patient's integrity, ethics, and morality genes and destroys them, replacing them with an insatiable hunger for money and power. Its reservoirs are House and Senate chambers, Governors' offices, Regulatory agency Administrators' offices, and so forth. After infection, which can happen even before the politician takes the oath of office, there is a short period of incubation during which the patient expresses what will be the last expressions of integrity, humanity, and reason every to exit his or her mouth.

After the disease is in full progress, signs and symptoms appear such as serial lying, truth-bending, an insatiable lust for money and those who have it and want to control politics, complete loss of conscience, abandonment of common sense, the inability to feel empathy for those with less money than their donors, and myriad other signs and symptoms.

The only cure is removal from office.
