Re: “Give Money to a Public School, Get It All Back

Hey Thuckwad! How come you're not commenting on the "Mexican American Studies: What's Next?" article. Perhaps this is the reason:

"It's a fitting irony that the tactics used by Tom Horne and John Huppenthal against MAS were repudiated in a court of law while both men have seen their reputations tarnished one could even say, destroyed because of a string of personal and professional improprieties compounded by their publicly exposed racism.

This judgement is a triumph of our legal system over racism and its use by cynical politicians. At the end of a year when racism and anti-semitism have turned mainstream, condoned by our president and echoed by venal politicians and street mobs, Judge Tashima's unambiguous condemnation of the motivations behind 15-112 is a breath of fresh air."

Let's hear what you have to say Thuckwad. Inquiring minds want to know!

Re: “Gabby Giffords on Las Vegas Mass Shooting: "This Must Stop"

Gabby Gifford's American For Responsible Solutions should consider runing ads against House & Senate NRA owned lickspittles. Ads showing them saying "thoughts & prayers" along with a graphic illustrating how much cash they've taken from the NRA over their careers.

Re: “Sinema's In: Democratic Congresswoman Joins Race for Sen. Jeff Flake's Seat

This is so typical of Schumer getting the worst Democrat in the House to run for the Senate. Sinema is not a Democrat, a progressive, or a leader. She has the lowest Progressive Punch score among House Democrats & is owned by Wall Street. She has voted against many efforts to rein in Wall Street excesses including supporting decimating the CFPB. The only Democratic policies she seems so support are those that support the LGBT community. Sinema more of a self-interested calculating careerist like Debbie Wasserman Schultz, than someone who wants to serve and improve her country or Arizona.

This does not bode well for the Arizona Senate race. There were three very electable Progressive Senate candidates: Alan Grayson in Florida, Joe Sestak in Pennsylvania, and P. G. Sittenfeld in Ohio. Well, Schumer got his marching orders from Wall Street and recruited three awful primary candidates. Former Republican Patrick Murphy in Florida, Conservadem Katie McGinty in Pennsylvania, and way past his prime Ted Strickland in Ohio. Needless to day all three results of Schumers meddling lost their races; which is why McConnell is still Majority Leader and and the reactionary garbage known as Gorsuch instead of Merrick Garland sits on the Supreme Court.

Surely the Arizona Democratic Party can do better?

Re: “Flake? McCain? What Is Your Healthcare Line In the Sand?

Senator McCain has a well crafted image of being a maverick. Unfortunately he has a history of squawking about some Republican policy he doesn't like (torture for instance) and after getting a morsel tossed his way from his leadership he ultimately caves.

So Senator, how about proving you're a real maverick by standing up to McConnell and voting no on the BCRA?

Re: “Cinema Clips: Elle

I liked his 2006 movie Black Book. The original Robocop was pretty decent.

Re: “Dems Hit McSally on Her Opposition To Blocking "No-Fly" Terror Suspects From Obtaining Guns

The obvious solution is to "fix the damn list" to ensure innocents or those mistakenly listed aren't on it. Then ban those still on the list from getting firearms.
