Re: “World News: Dupnik Makes International News

Yeah, no doubt.

One thing I don't get about people who are getting their panties in a bunch over what Dupnik very aptly stated is that he was referencing "rightwing rhetoric". I don't recall Dupnik singling out the right wing, or tea party, or any party for that matter. I do recall him mentioning talk radio and 24/7 news channels, but I don't recall the right wing association.

Sure one could jump to assuming he meant right wing but I don't recall him saying that. Of course, if the shoe fits and all that but the shoe really fits a lot of folks and I think that was the real message. It wasn't specifically political, it was human and wise. I for one am quite happy Dupnik had an opportunity to share his opinions and that it has been globally heard.

Re: “TW's Tom Danehy on the Shooting in Esquire

Just a comment to always remember that the actions, thoughts, and beliefs of one nutjob is by no means representative of a the actions, thoughts or beliefs of an entire community. Consider a few other nutjobs from the past such as John Hinckley, Jr (Ronald Reagan) or Mark David Chapman (John Lennon). There are simply just nutjobs in this world.

I'd love to throw all of my anger from this tragedy at the tea party, Jan Brewer, SB1070, ratings focused news channels that manufacture hate for profit, or simply the terrible two party based system we have in this country which prospers on dividing people. However, at the end of the day, I think this guy is just a nutjob.

I can only hope that this particular nutjob will help bring attention to the need for the country to focus on education, mental health, and positive change.
