Shaun Nichols, professor in Philosophy, spent months in India exploring attitudes toward death among Hindus & Tibetan Buddhists. Because Buddhists believe there is no enduring self throughout biological life, they should be less afraid of death. But are they? Nichols' findings may surprise.
