FairTax.org Go there yourself and read about it. Gabby leaves out several very important steps, like the abolishment of the 16th amendment and the IRS, the prebate check to pre-pay for the tax on the necessities, etc... Yeah, 23% can be intimidating, but a guaranteed check in the mail every month? No IRS? Hmmmm....

    Re: “Media Watch
First of all, I can only accept the level of journalistic integrity applied to this article in "equality and fairness" as the author did into fact checking the NAME of the person being written about. Seriously, it's not like Jon doesn't have a website that could be viewed in, what, 30 seconds to verify the spelling. Pathetic...the desire to fall back to the liberal media bias of attacking those willing to ask questions (for how else do we get answers) was so great with this article, that you couldn't take the time to get it right. Good Job.

Secondly, Luke, stop with the pathetic attempts at boosting your web traffic.

Lastly, as a member of the "The Mob" "The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" and "Right Wing Extremism"... I find the idea of KGUN 9 being considered "right wing" laughable at best. Yes, they have been willing to move more centered in their reporting...but 'right'? I think not.

    You know what?

I am actually glad you keep putting the Tea Party out there.

I am also glad that you keep mocking these people, and I am going to tell you why:

The people showing up to these events, these "racist" (by implication through your sign, which, btw why did you take it to the street, cause we would have thrown your ass out if you had walked around with it inside the Park, and you knew it) anyways- these people used to be the squishy middle. Yes, a lot of them aren't informed. A lot of them don't know their stuff.

    But they are learning.

And that scares the ever living be-jebus out of the folks on the Left, because if they learn, truly begin to delve into US History, the Constitution, and the news - then that is more votes lost, probably permanently, by the Left and the Democrats. So you have to mock the Tea Party, you have to keep isolating and marginalizing, in the hopes that you will keep that squishy middle away.

    But you're not.

They are still coming out. They are still showing up. They are reading beyond the paper and the Tucson Weekly. They are opening their eyes to the danger of big government and out of control spending. They are watching events like the "peaceful demonstrations" recently in Phoenix and Tucson, and comparing motives and actions. They are sheering the wool off, and leaving the flock.

So every little piece like this just gives us who agree with Tucson Tea Party, who are proud to wear the shirts, who invite our friends and neighbors along - it just gives us reassurance that if the Left is protesting it, we must be doing something right.

I challenge you to go to the May Day March coming up here and investigate it just like you "investigated" the Tea Party. Ask the same questions, and select those you ask by the same criteria. Then maybe you might have some credibility as being a neutral opinion writer, and not merely dismissed as another mouth-piece for the left.

HB 2441 - it really says "foreign-born secret Muslims"??? Nope, went there and read it myself. All it asks is for the same amount of info verification that you need to get a driver's license in the state. Hmmm, think being President is a little more important than a driver's license.

I believe the real story is why did the biologist who was consulted in the baiting of the trap - Emil McCain of the Boarderlands Jaguar Project, allow the baiting to begin with... you start doing some research on him, you dig up alot of anti-border fence speeches and support tied into proving that a Jaguar RESIDES in, not just migrates INTO the United States. Prove that Macho B lives here and you can keep a fence from being built on the border. Then add to that the ONLY known jaguar in AZ, who he knew from the photos taken of it prior to trapping it, was getting old (16 years, give or take) and approaching it's average life span...and now time runs out on proving that jaguars do RESIDE in AZ- and hence, the future of the Boarderlands Jaguar Project and it's continuing to still be a viable entity and worthy of receiving continued funding, gifts and grants. Macho B dies a natural death before he can prove that...and there goes the only chance of EVER proving the residency of jaguars, and there goes all that research money.
