The Marine
This B-movie-style, action-figure saga is pumped up with too much testosterone and not enough intelligent filmmaking. John Cena stars, along with his mountain range of muscles, as a former sergeant in the Iraq war who is discharged after disobeying orders while saving fellow jarheads from capture by al-Qaida. However, being back in South Carolina offers no reprieve from war-like situations after his wife gets kidnapped by callous diamond thieves with a desire to blow up everything in sight. With a script overflowing with clichéd one-liners, spastic and jolted editing, and uncharismatic acting, this is a flop.
