The Invisible

Mats Wahl’s acclaimed novel has been turned into a pedestrian, albeit entertaining Tinseltown production. Justin Chatwin stars as a good-looking high school student who manages to maintain his stellar grade-point average while mourning the death of his dad and dealing with his excessively controlling mom (Marcia Gay Harden). But when the Abercrombie and Fitch boy is accused of ratting out a thieving vagabond, his life is put on hold as his body is left for dead. Meanwhile, his soul hangs in limbo until he leads the would-be assassin and the authorities to his mangled body. This decent film unfortunately will get overlooked because of a not-so-little heroic arachnid now in theaters.

The Invisible is not showing in any theaters in the area.
