The Great Laverne Cox

Actress Laverne Cox has changed and challenged transgender perceptions, and most of that has had nothing to do with her role on the Netflix series Orange is the New Black. She took the media on and won, and don't forget that beautiful Time magazine coverage. So, here we are Tucson, Cox will be here Monday, May 4 speaking at the UA, doors open at 6 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom. It's free for students with a CatCard and $20 for the rest of us schlubs who want to hear what she has to say—we're counting on it being amazing. The events is sponsored by the UA LGBTQ Affairs, ASUA Pride Alliance, UA Women's Resource Center, The Men's Project, FORCE and the ASUA Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
