The Amerind Foundation and Museum

A celebration of the museum's 75-year history takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 21; $2 parking, free admission for the event. Native American traditional singing, dancing, storytelling, crafts and artistry are featured, along with presentations about the history of the ranching family who bequeathed the land to establish the foundation; the results of several archaeological excavations, including the Casas Grandes in Mexico; and other scholarly achievements of the foundation. A Journey: The Art of Glory Tacheenie-Campoy, an exhibit of paintings, sculpture, mixed-media works and prints, continues through Wednesday, Oct. 31.
