Spandex and Bike Seats

Got a bike and a spandex bodysuit? How about a tireless pursuit of glory? National advocacy group People for Bikes is hosting its latest wacky bike count during their Everyday Biking Challenge on Thursday, July 30. The group is searching for the "everyday biking" capitol through a series of themed bike challenges and counts. Tucson is one of 10 cities biking it out for the highest two-wheeled honors. This month is dedicated to spandex and Lycra. Throw on that jazzercise beauty and ride to the corner of Fourth Avenue and University Boulevard from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. to be included in the count. We have already taken the honor of being the best city for riding your bike in a skirt or dress in June, with more than 200 cyclists riding down Fourth Avenue in dresses. If you want to help Tucson take this one too, RSVP.
