Saw V
These movies are getting progressively worse, and it doesn’t appear that they will end anytime soon. Tobin Bell returns as Jigsaw, even though his character died two movies ago. Bell must be very grateful for that story device called “the flashback,” because his career is getting a lot of mileage out of it. This time, another Jigsaw student continues the murders while a detective who looks like a haggard Jason Lee (Scott Patterson) investigates. Of course, there’s a dungeon-like setting in which people wake up and realize they are going to be the latest victims of Jigsaw, even though the guy is dead. The only way to make these movies stop is for people to stop seeing them, yet Saw VI is pretty much inevitable. God have mercy on our souls, or at least our movie-going eyes.
