From an outsider who lives here! I have lived in this area for 3 /2 yrs. am guilty of not knowing until the recent Monument Fire that the land I see in Palominas is "Miracle Valley" I have just recently learned of the shootout by reading historical info on Cochise County. I had no idea this structure has been abandoned, vandalized and left as ruin. I don't care who owned it in the past or who wants to own it today, what matters to me is that the history and culture of SE AZ is restored and taken care of by those of us here today for our future generations. I cannot believe how often I come across historical sites in this county that are not maintained and it seems not cared about until the almight dollar comes into play at some point. I'm going to research C.C. Historical Society if there is one and then visit this site because I'd like to see it before everyone starts fighting over it, only God knows what the future holds for this site, I have faith it will be of good use no matter who ends up with it.
