Agnostic Front, the kings and originators of the New York hardcore metal scene, have returned with Another Voice--a brutal offering co-produced by Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta.
All 14 tracks on Another Voice follow a certain pattern: pissed-off, in your face and to the point. "Still Here" kicks off the onslaught with shredding guitars, pounding drums, angry lyrics--all mixed with an early-punk influence.
Lashing out on social politics of all varieties, straight from ground-zero (the streets), vocalist Roger Miret touches upon war, treachery, street justice and keeping it real. "Start from within a search for an identity / Live for now, for yourself and not society / A promise to oneself to fight for something more," from "So Pure to Me" is a perfect example of how the band's lyrics have inspired generations to stand up for themselves.
"Hardcore! (The Definition)" serves as an anthem for the band itself, and the legions of followers who have incorporated the hardcore lifestyle. "I've always been force-fed, confronted all those oppose," Miret states in the opening verse.
Nothing beats a classic, and an old-school throw-down is about to served to anyone who has a pair!
