Holiday Festival of Arts & Town of Oro Valley Tree Lighting. With the Oro Valley Holiday Festival of Arts becoming one of Southern Arizona's largest regional art events, this event will include up to 150 artists and exhibitors over the course of the weekend, along with live music, food vendors and family art activities. Be sure to be there around 6 p.m. on Saturday when the 35-foot holiday tree will light up over the marketplace. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. And 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2.

Pintura Y Sangria. Join a special gathering which includes featuring Virgen Maria-inspired wine glass painting, sangria sipping, and shopping with Mi Reina Mobile Boutique and Señorita MAD. This event celebrates La Reina on her day, El Dia de la Virgen Maria. Desserts will also be available from American Eat Co. 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6. 1439 S. Fourth Ave. $35.

Mini Cactus Bowls & Prickly Pear Margaritas. Do you like margaritas? Have you ever had a prickly pear margarita? Green Things will give you the chance to try it (if you haven't already) during their workshop dedicated to making your very own mini cactus bowl. Recipes will also be available to take home. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. 3384 E. River Road. $5 (plus cost of supplies).

Brew Lights. The Reid Park Zoo and Craft Tucson are joining forces to provide "the hoppiest holiday event in southern Arizona." Brew Lights will allow you to enjoy your favorite local craft beer while admiring the thousands of twinkling lights and lighted animal displays. Food from Taste Catering and more fun activities will also be available in this family-friendly event. Prices vary depending on what you want to do. 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. 3400 E. Zoo Court.

Sips for SaveTheSaveable.com Drink wine and save animals? Yes please. Help prevent unnecessary shelter deaths in this wine sipping event hosted by No Kill County, with a portion of the event fee going to the Save the Saveable campaign. Maynards 10-Year Anniversary Dinner. Maynards is turning a whole 10 years old! Featuring Italian winemaker Claudio Viberti, this exclusive three-course wine dinner is not something you will want to miss. Cities of Gastronomy Tasting Event. Three Chefs, three cities. Tucson City of Gastronomy invites you to the Carriage House to celebrate food diversity with chefs specializing in Thai, Chinese and Brazilian food. All proceeds will go the Tucson City of Gastronomy Chef Exchange Fund, bringing world chefs to Tucson, and Tucson chefs to the world. 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6. 125 S. Arizona Ave. $40.
