Archaeologist Allen Dart teaches an introductory course developed by the Arizona Archaeological Society, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 4 through Dec. 6. The class covers cultural sequences, dating systems, subsistence strategies, development of urbanization, abandonment of different areas at different times and general characteristics of major cultural groups over the past 13,000 years. $50; $40 member; plus text.
