A man in a wheelchair who allegedly broke into a garage showed that he really didn't need the wheelchair by jumping out of it and running across a golf course. He also was seen talking to a dead rodent, according to a Pima County Sheriff's Department report.
Deputies interviewed a woman who said she heard a loud bang coming from her garage when she took out the trash that morning. When she went to investigate, she found the subject sitting in a wheelchair and holding a metal pipe. When she snatched the pipe from him, he seemed surprised and said casually, "Hey, what are you doing."
The subject then jumped up from the wheelchair, grabbed the pipe from the woman and ran out of the garage. A neighbor who had seen the subject trespassing on the woman's property chased after him and found the subject in a nearby wash stumbling and acting erratically.
The neighbor, who was wearing an orange reflective vest, showed deputies photos he had taken of the subject picking up a dead rat and holding it by the tail. The neighbor said the man yelled at the rat for a while before tossing it away.
The neighbor said he then followed the subject to a nearby golf course, where the subject yanked a surveying stake from the ground and used it to bang on trees and a pedestrian bridge as he walked along. When the subject realized the neighbor was following him, he ran across the golf course and jumped over a wall.
At the time of the report, the subject was still on the loose.

A vandal turned the swimming pool at a foothills golf club into a giant bubble bath, according to a PCSD report.
Sheriff's deputies responded to a call from the Arizona National Golf Club, where an employee said that bubble bath solution had been poured into the club's hot tub as well as the swimming pool, which was overflowing with bubbles.
The employee said the same thing had happened the week before but that no one had reported it.
Because the club's pool area had no surveillance equipment and no witness had come forth, deputies had no clues as to the vandal's identity.
