A boy was allegedly disciplined harshly after he sang a vulgar tune at church, according to a Pima County Sheriff's Department report.
A deputy met with the mother, who said she'd agreed to let her son go with his friend and friend's father to a service that evening at the Corona de Tucson Baptist Church, 16540 S. Houghton Road. But during the service, she received a call from her son; he told her that his friend's father had hit him in the face.
When she arrived at the place of worship to pick up her son, she said, the friend's father told her that her son had been disrespectful at church, and he was compelled to teach the child a lesson.
The friend's father elaborated, saying the son had been cussing and singing a song made up solely of the words "suck my balls" repeated over and over. This happened while the boy was in the company of the subject's 8-year-old son, he said.
He said he hadn't slapped his son's friend, but only "touched" him with his index and middle fingers.
After standing outside of the church and cussing at the man who allegedly slapped her son, the mother left the scene.
Nobody was arrested.

A local couple got an odd threat after identifying a phone scam, according to a PCSD report.
A husband and wife told deputies they'd received five calls in about an hour (including two calls just a minute apart) from a person identifying himself as a "Mr. Green" in Las Vegas. This person allegedly told them they'd won a sweepstakes prize of $250,000, but that they'd have to wire him a check for $150 to claim the money.
The couple immediately told him they thought he was running a scam and that they wouldn't send him anything until they'd received and cashed a check for the money they'd supposedly won. However, Mr. Green continued to call them, and they continued to deny his request to send a check.
According to the couple, the subject's last call concluded with him saying, "I'm going to kill you; I'm going to chop your head off and throw it in a river." The wife said she then hung up on him.
The husband and wife advised to block any further calls from the number of "Mr. Green."
