A woman who was staying at a male friend's house received a rude awakening, according to a Pima County Sheriff's Department report.
The woman said she was snoozing at about 8 a.m. when another woman burst into the bedroom, tore the blankets from her, slapped her face and pulled her hair. She said the rampaging female called her a "slut" and "whore" while attacking her.
She said her male friend pulled the attacker off, and she thought that was the end of the encounter. But then she looked out the window and saw her attacker using her car to push her own vehicle onto the curb, she said.
The victim reported damage to her vehicle's bumper. The hood and doors had also been keyed, she said.
The male friend told authorities the rampaging woman was his ex-girlfriend. He told authorities this was the second time she had burst into his home unannounced.
Authorities were unable to contact the ex at the time of the report.
My Truck Is Melting
Cortaro Farms Road and Interstate 10, Feb. 20, 4:05 p.m.
A woman said a pushy man poured an acidic liquid on her truck after she told him to leave her property, a PCSD report said.
The woman said a white male claiming to be a friend--but refusing to give his name--came to her door and insisted upon seeing her son. The man was driving a pool truck, she said.
She told the man to leave after he tried to enter her home, and he did so, she said. The woman noticed her vehicle appeared to be "smoking" when she went to get her mail a short time later.
Firefighters determined the liquid that was smoking on the truck was a "neurotic acid" used in swimming pools. It reportedly took about an hour to clean up the substance.
The woman's son identified the suspect as a friend of his who works for his parents' pool company. There was reportedly some kind of disagreement between the woman's son and the pool guy over money.
Deputies were unable to contact the suspect at the time of the report.
Defacing the Dean
UA Area, March 13, 10:57 a.m.
According to a University of Arizona Police Department report, an employee at the UA Health Sciences Library said someone vandalized a painting of the former College of Medicine dean using spitballs.
The woman said she didn't want to remove the spitballs for fear of harming the portrait of Dr. James E. Dalen, which is in the library lobby. She told UAPD that she was going to get a professional to assess the damage.
No one witnessed the vandalism, and there are no security cameras in the lobby.
