A man who appeared to have defecated in his pants threatened two women with a knife, a Pima County Sheriff's Department report stated.
A witness said the man approached the women as they were waiting on a street corner. She described his appearance and clothing to authorities, including the fact that the man was wearing "blue jeans with a dark brown spot in the groin area."
The witness said the man brandished a knife at the women and then started yelling incomprehensibly.
A short time later, another deputy radioed to say that he had apprehended a man who fit the witness' description. Like the witness described, Everett D. Fulkerson, 41, was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans with what appeared to be a large fecal stain on them.
One of the deputies read Fulkerson his rights. However, Fulkerson reportedly said he didn't understand them. Nevertheless, the deputy noted that he thought Fulkerson could speak English, although he mostly spoke in "gibberish."
"I'm going to kill you and fuck your daughter," Fulkerson allegedly kept saying to the deputy.
Authorities found a pocketknife on Fulkerson. One of the women who was reportedly threatened confirmed that Fulkerson had indeed accosted her.
A deputy transported Fulkerson to Pima County Adult Detention Center, where he was booked for one count of assault, one count of aggravated assault and two counts of disorderly conduct.
Ignorance Is Not A Defense
UA Area, Sept. 27, 12:14 a.m.
Police cited two men for stealing street signs, a University of Arizona Police Department report said.
A witness phoned authorities to say that two males and two females had taken a yield sign and the sign marking Eighth Street and Fremont Avenue. The witness said he saw the quartet carry the signs back to their dorm at Sky View Apartments, 1050 E. Eighth St.
Police contacted a man in the apartments, later identified as 19-year-old Tyler E. Davis, who matched the witness' description of one of the suspects. An officer went into Davis' apartment and saw the two signs in the far-left corner, the report said.
Davis reportedly admitted taking the signs but refused to say who his accomplices had been.
A short time later, authorities also talked to Davis' roommate, Ryan A. Nechita. Nechita, 18, said taking the signs was his idea, but then told officers he wasn't aware doing so would be against the law.
"Nechita said the sign was lying on the ground. He thought once a sign had been knocked down, then it was OK to take it," the report stated. Both Davis and Nechita were cited and released for theft of items worth less than $250.
