A UA student complained that three of her female peers were causing problems whenever she ran into them, according to a report from the University of Arizona Police Department.
The student and several of her friends reportedly sat on a bleacher that the three women said belonged to them during a football game. Game personnel said the seating was first-come, first-serve, but that reportedly didn't stop the trio from harassing the student until they were removed.
The student said she next saw the two black women and one white woman at a frat party at the Kappa Sigma house, 1423 E. First St. She said the women noticed her and made threatening remarks which repeatedly included the word "fucking."
The student told police one woman interpreted it as a racial slur when she asked if "fucking" was the only word the group knew. The woman hit her in the face before being carted away by security personnel, she alleged.
The student said she saw the women at the Memorial Student Union three days later, and another woman walked over and socked her in the face after they noticed her.
According to the report, the student did not want to press charges. An officer told her security personnel would be in the area "if she needed anything" after she said she was going to try and "reason" with the women.
The Offending Sticker
Skyline Drive and Campbell Avenue, Nov. 21, 11:38 p.m.
A man became irate after a valet placed a "courtesy sticker" on his minivan telling him he had parked in a reserved space, a Pima County Sheriff's Department report stated.
The valet at La Encantada, 2905 E. Skyline Drive, said the approximately 55-year-old driver of the minivan pulled up in front of his kiosk and began berating him, demanding at the top of his lungs to speak with his supervisor and telling him he had no right to put a sticker on his vehicle.
The man then ripped the valet's name tag off his shirt and refused to give it back, the valet alleged. He added that a woman hopped out of the passenger seat and also began cussing at him as customers filtered out of a nearby restaurant.
A witness reportedly told the valet the driver's behavior was completely out of line and gave him her phone number in case he wanted corroboration. The valet gave authorities the minivan's license-plate number.
