Police Dispatch

Park and Ride

West Grant Road and Interstate 10, Jan. 15, 2:07 p.m.

The caretaker at an off-campus agricultural facility called to police report two naked people in a car near the building, according to a University of Arizona Police Department report.

The caretaker twice noticed the car parked at the West Campus Agricultural Center, 2831 N. Freeway Road. The second time, he also glimpsed two "mostly unclothed" individuals inside the vehicle.

A white male in his early 20s, who sported a diamond tattoo on his right upper arm and shoulder, appeared to be straddling someone with clean-shaven legs, the caretaker said. He added he was unable to tell if the second person was male or female.

The caretaker said he didn't get the license plate number on the car before the pair drove off. He said he thought it was unusual that the individuals knew the combination to the locked gate, since he thought neither of them were UA employees or students.

The caretaker said he was going to speak to someone about changing the lock.

Green Garbage

East Irvington and South Swan roads, Jan. 9, 3:26 p.m.

A business owner complained that someone was dropping off bags full of garbage and marijuana in the trash can in front of his establishment, a Pima County Sheriff's Department report stated.

The owner said it was the second time someone had placed bags that reeked of marijuana in the trash can. A deputy confiscated and then sifted through the bags at an impound facility, finding what appeared to be about a half-pound of marijuana wrapped in clear cellophane and black plastic.

Some cellophane was submitted for fingerprint testing, the report said.

Socked in the Head

Orange Grove and Thornydale roads, Jan. 8, 4:15 p.m.

A girl standing in her front yard said she was randomly punched in the head by an unknown man, a PCSD report said.

The 17-year-old girl said the female passenger in a car started yelling at her as the vehicle passed in front of her house.

The girl said she told the woman that she probably had her confused with someone else. That's when the driver of the car, later identified as 22-year-old Kevin Davis, ran up to her and punched her in the head, she alleged.

A neighbor corroborated the girl's story.

Authorities were able to track the car's license plate to Davis' address, where a deputy eventually spoke to him. When asked why he had punched the girl, Davis allegedly laughed and admitted to pushing her with "an open hand." Davis also said the girl had gotten into a physical fight with his girlfriend. The girlfriend, who also spoke to the deputy and appeared to be the earlier passenger in the car, said Davis was simply trying to protect his vehicle from the alleged victim.

Davis was arrested on an assault charge.
