The real deal with vochers and charter-schools is this; We hand the public -school system a fixed deck and wonder why they can't win the game. The public school system in the 50's, 60's and 70's are like the national telephone system. We had the best system in the world until Regan figured out that privatization and de-regulation meant more profits for corporations. And the people went for it. Another Jeti mind trick. You know it only works on the weak minded.

Thanks Tom for keeping it real.

Tom, in the name of good barbque and Chicago blues, please sign up for Face Book. There is no excuses. You are not that "old school." I know that new stuff and popular culture gets on your last nerve, but please!(Like man please! I'm now begging.) Your growing nation of followers need a daily dose of your leadership.

"There is nothing more powerful than an involved parent" and they are the ones that the powerful trys to stop. You can smell Yarbrough here in Tucson. Let me ask a question. How did a "part-time" lawmaker like Yarbrough, get so caked up? This explains alot and he's not the only one. Not by a longshot.

This was a great well written explaination to how and why we find ourselves in this condition. Now if Jim can find the genius to fix it, I'll nominate him for Nobel myself.

Thanks D. This had to be said. These guys are pimping poor, under-educated, primadonas with some basketball skills. The sad thing is that the kids and their parents don't know it. NCAA Universties are pimps also, but if these kids are mentored properly they can get a quality education. But let's keep it real. Collage basketball players need to be paid.
