Those good people at Confluencenter for Creative Inquiry and their monthly Creative Collaborations program continues to celebrate Women's History Month on Saturday, March 21, from 11 a.m. to Noon with "Women in the Workforce: We've Come a Long Way." Senior Fellow/pianist Paula Fan, with special guests will explore different themes through music and discussion in the UA Memorial Student Union Book Store's first floor next to the student union at 1209 E. University Blvd. Creative Collaborations back looks at a time when there were no women firefighters, no policewomen and precious few in professional fields. Think back to the TV series "Mad Men," and beyond, when the goal was to find a man to marry, and that was about it. Fan brings three accomplished professional women who were at the vanguard of the women's movement—magazine and newspaper journalist Linda Grant, Marilyn Heins, and attorney Susan M. Freund with songs performed by Kristin Dauphinais. Need more info, visit the event Facebook page or call 621-4587.
