Based on a novel by the Rev. T.D. Jakes, Not Easily Broken offers painfully obviousand therefore annoyingmessages of faith. Dave (Morris Chestnut) struggles to get through the day as a building contractor after his Major League Baseball dreams are crushed. Meanwhile, his wife, Clarice (Taraji P. Henson), is oblivious to his pain as she prances and glows as a real estate superstar. After a car crash derails Clarices illustrious career, she puts an even greater strain on their relationship with accusations of infidelity and insufficiency. This causes the two to question their 20-year marriage. Bill Dukes direction and the casts performances are mediocre, while the script is plodding and overbearing.
