Black Food on Black Friday

Frantic shopping can work up an appetite, so a good dinner must be part of any proper Black Friday game plan. All four Risky Business locations are marking the busiest shopping day of the year by dropping prices on blackened-chicken sandwiches, blackened-mahi tacos, black-and-blue burgers and blackened-chicken Caesar salads to $8 on Friday, Nov. 26. Nur Restaurant

The air is thick with the scent of curry at the new Nur Restaurant. Specializing in kebabs, curries and other foods from East Africa, the restaurant also serves pita-bread sandwiches, spaghetti and, for the particularly unadventurous, a beef-and-chicken burger. The restaurant is located in Nur Market at 3565 E. Speedway Blvd.; 881-6333.

Kegs and Eggs

Having a mixed drink with breakfast is somewhat irresponsible, but I am not going to hold it against you; I might even buy a round if we run into each other at Sam Hughes’ Place Championship Dining’s weekly “Kegs and Eggs” special, from 9 a.m. to noon, every Saturday and Sunday. It features a $5 breakfast buffet, $1.50 drafts, $3 mimosas and a $5 Bloody Mary bar. The restaurant is located at 446 N. Campbell Ave., Suite 150; 747-5223.
