Noshing Around

Street Food!

The Fiesta Grande Street Fair is a must-attend affair for anyone with an appreciation of authentic street food. Pat's Drive-In and other area eateries will certainly be open, but the real food gems will come from the vendors selling inexpensive, homemade food to raise money for their respective causes. Festival founder Margaret McKenna said offerings will include Sonoran hot dogs, deep-fried tacos, birria, aguas frescas, kettle corn, doughnuts, burritos and many other items. The festival—which includes car shows, rides, live music and other entertainment—takes place on Grande Avenue between St. Mary's Road and Speedway Boulevard from 9:30 a.m. to dusk on Saturday, April 10; and noon to dusk on Sunday, April 11.
