Coming Soon

There's a sign on the old Arby's building at 4299 W. Ina Road indicating that a place called Chinese Box will be opening there. The sign also says the eatery will be MSG-free, and that drive-through and delivery service will be available. The most intriguing aspect of the sign, however, is a reference to Luke 5:1-11, a biblical passage about a fishing trip with Jesus. We took this to mean that the place will serve miraculous seafood, but it likely has a deeper meaning. No opening date is posted.

Right down the street, De Marco's Pizzeria is taking up residence at 4231 W. Ina Road. The appliqués on the windows say the place will serve calzones, stromboli, homemade bread, subs and pizza by the slice. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday; and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday. No word on when they'll open.

And just a few miles from there is a sign announcing that a restaurant called Julioberto's Mexican Food is setting up shop in the old Wienerschnitzel building at 6671 N. Thornydale Road. The sign has a picture of a torta and fries, which leads us to believe the place may serve Mexican-style sandwiches, but we'll have to see. No opening date for this one, either.
