Closing?Art's BBQ and Vel's Catering will close permanently on June 28 unless the business finds another location. Their current address at 450 N. Main Ave. is up for sale by the state. Art and Vel cannot afford the price, even though they added about $100,000 rewiring, heating and cooling improvements. This might be the last chance to dig in to good-old-fashioned Southern-style barbecue and cobbler. Art's is open Wednesday through Saturday; 388-9295.
