Pizza Delivery, Not Drugs
KVOA Channel 4 reported that an owner of Magpies Gourmet Pizza was arrested in connection with a drug-smuggling ring, showing pictures of the Fourth Avenue restaurant during the segment. According to Magpies operating partner and president, Ms. Ute U. Gascho, the company was never connected to any drug ring or illegal activities. Allen Ozdemir--the one implicated in the segment--invested in Magpies about 15 years ago; his wife currently holds those shares. Ozdemir invested in many local businesses and was a silent Magpies' partner, along with others. After Gascho presented KVOA with the facts, they quietly reported them--but not on the grand scale they made the incrimination, she claims. Gascho thanks the community for its continued support.
