When I go to a restaurant, I like to leisurely peruse the menu and not stand in line squinting at the small font or smudged blackboard. I feel pressured to make a choice, and when I want a coffee refill, I have to get it myself like I do at home. Fast casual may be a fast growing restaurant segment, but is it successful? By popular customer demand, Intermezzo at the Williams Centre changed to table service. Owner Daniel Scordato says that he has enough wait staff to provide speedy service at lunch, and patrons can enjoy a relaxed dinner.
