It sounds to me like somebody offered him more money than he got in the settlement, but only if the kept the claims alive.

You do know that every action your immigrants do once they get here illegally is founded on a crime. I have no doubt that thousands of Mexicans do the right thing and obey the law to come here. The illegals need to go home or at the very least go to the back of the line and become legal residents. If that means they have to go back to Mexico or where ever they came from and start the process there, then so be it. That is the consequence of their illegal act. We can't lock up these people. I don't even want to, but I think fairness requires some penalty.

I find it hard to believe that a police officer in Arizona would find any Hispanic "out of place" given how many there must be in Arizona!

"Scientists who measure the weather tell us that, with increasing frequency, things are happening that have never happened in 125 years. Scientists who measure tree rings tell us that our climate is experiencing shifts on the order of centuries and millennia"
Don't you know hyperbole when you hear it? Why is it that every short term weather event is a sign of the apocalypse? Get a grip!

"Those billions of dollars could have been and could be spent in helping Mexico and Central America build infrastructure, hospitals, schools, provide education to their children"

Why isn't Mexico building infrastructure? Wouldn't that be a source of jobs in Mexico? Why isn't Mexico building schools and hospitals? Wouldn't that be a source of jobs in Mexico? Why aren't the citizens of Mexico demanding and getting a government that is relatively free of corruption and providing for her people. Why should Americans spend billions of dollars on Mexico's problems. Hell. we can't afford our own!
