What was the first concert you ever saw?
It was Toto. I was 14, and I'd only heard, maybe, one of their songs. But it was a big deal, because I grew up on an island in Sweden. We had to travel to the mainland to see the concert in Stockholm, and it involved subways, trains and boats.
What CDs are in your changer right now?
Four Women: The Nina Simone Philips Recordings; Leonard Cohen, New Skin for the Old Ceremony; Fleet Foxes, Fleet Foxes.
How many total albums do you own (CDs, vinyl, cassettes, 8-tracks)?
(My husband and I) have an entire double-sided bookcase filled with vinyl. As for CDs, it's all on the computer now; I've got somewhere between 1,000 and 1,500 albums in there.
Do you download music, and if so, legally or illegally?
Legally. I spend a lot of money on music.
What was the first album you owned?
It was a Roxette record my brother gave me.
What song would you like to have played at your funeral?
I'm not planning on dying anytime soon, so I haven't thought about that. But, off the top of my head, I would have to say that "Bridge Over Troubled Water" would be nice.
Musically speaking, what do you love that your friends don't know about? What's your favorite guilty pleasure?
The thing that kind of tickles me is when I meet other Swedish people around, and we sing these little Swedish infomercials or jingles to each other.
What band or artist changed your life, and how?
Joni Mitchell just opened up my ears to something outside of the sort-of-mundane Swedish-pop world. When I found Joni, I found that music can be poetry, and vice versa. She really blew my mind.

Joni Mitchell, Blue.
