What was the first concert you ever saw?
I can't remember the name, but it was my friend's band at The Mason Jar up in Phoenix. I think I was 17.
What CDs are in your changer right now?
The Frank and Woody Show, an early Wailers compilation, an Augustus Pablo compilation, Amy Winehouse and a best of Dick Dale.
How many total albums do you own (CDs, vinyl, cassettes, 8-tracks)?
Around 200 CDs, 500 records, maybe three cassette tapes ... for recording purposes.
Do you download music, and if so, legally or illegally?
People burn a lot of CDs for me, but if I'm the one downloading a song or CD, I always pay for it.
What was the first album you owned?
Ratt, Out of the Cellar.
What song would you like to have played at your funeral?
Anything by Chopin would do!
Musically speaking, what do you love that your friends don't know about? What's your favorite guilty pleasure?
Honestly, the best thing is watching Emilie Marchand and Julianna Spallholz re-enacting "It's the Hard-Knock Life" from the Annie soundtrack at 4 in the morning--it's incredible!
What band or artist changed your life, and how?
The Geraldine Fibbers. Watching Nels Cline play the guitar really changed the way I approach that instrument. He is a really technical player, but has 20 pedals hooked up to his guitar and plays with eggbeaters and files. Really creative and fun to watch.
