About 100 CDs; I just bought a couple of my very own records by The Shadows; and I love to listen to old cassettes in my truck ... old (Guided by Voices) and Echo and the Bunnymen--someone even gave me a mix tape with Neutral Milk Hotel. Oh, oh, oh, and don't let me forget that Peaches tape.
Do you download music, and if so, legally or illegally?
Only if it's something I need for a cover show, and I don't already have it and can't find it.

The Original Disco Duck. Yes, I am dating myself.

There are a few of my friend Namoli Brennet's songs that I will listen to over and over, 10 times in a day. Have you ever heard her song "Ithaca"? Go now, listen.
What band or artist changed your life, and how?
When I was in college, I hung out with some guy friends who were musicians. I would go to shows and watch their fingers on the guitar, their technique, and was fascinated. Then one day, a girl band from Texas (I think) called Pork came through, and they made me believe I could do that, too, that I could be a musician, too. God bless PORK! After that, a few of my same friends encouraged me to go for it. Pat Barouse gave me his first bass to play. And Travis Folmar gave me a little rebuilt Kay amp.
