What was the first concert you ever saw?
My parents took me to an Alabama concert at the TCC sometime in the early '80s. The first show I attended sans parents was INXS and Steel Pulse at the same venue on the Kick tour.
What CDs are in your changer right now?
Don't have a changer, but iTunes tells me that my last five albums played were Murder City Devils, In Name and Blood; Merle Haggard, 20th Century Masters; The Best of Motorhead; the new Stitch Hopeless and the Sea Legs album; and Kryptonix, L'Appel du Sang.
How many total albums do you own (CDs, vinyl, cassettes, 8-tracks)?
Around 50-75 albums on vinyl, maybe around 700 CDs. Most of my stuff has all been converted to MP3. I probably have 300-400 albums worth.
Do you download music, and if so, legally or illegally?
Both. I have no problem stealing somebody's music if they're dead or broken up.
What was the first album you owned?
The first album I pilfered from my dad was Blind Faith. The first album I purchased was Billy Joel, Glass Houses.
What song would you like to have played at your funeral?
Probably "Yakety Sax." I can't really think of anything more appropriate.
Musically speaking, what do you love that your friends don't know about? What's your favorite guilty pleasure?
"My Humps" by the Black Eyed Peas. I looped it for two days straight when I first heard it.
What band or artist changed your life, and how?
Probably NoMeansNo. Before I had heard them, I don't think I really knew that you could like punk rock and hockey and be smart and funny, all at the same time.
Figurative gun to your head, what is your favorite album of all time?
Hank Williams' Original Singles Collection. Of course, it changes constantly. Yesterday, I probably would have said Minor Threat's Complete Discography.
