What was the first concert you ever saw?

My first actual concert was the Mamas and the Papas, when I was 8. The first "real" concert was No Doubt--my brother took me to see it when I was 16.

What CDs are in your changer right now?

My iPod has emptied my CD changer. Right now, I am listening to a lot of classic rock, but I am one of those people who listens to everything. My iPod list includes albums from Cross Canadian Ragweed, Jimmy Eat World, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Journey, Keith Urban, Marshall Tucker, Dokken, Skid Row, Presidents of the United States and Green Day.

How many total albums do you own (CDs, vinyl, cassettes, 8-tracks)?

I only own about 100 albums--CDs and cassettes mostly. However, I have more than 5,000 MP3 songs.

Do you download music, and if so, legally or illegally?

To start the collection, I legally downloaded illegally downloaded songs from my brother. Now I try to stay honest and pay the royalties to musicians by buying music.

What was the first album you owned?

The Beach Boys, Endless Summer.

What song would you like played at your funeral?

Cross Canadian Ragweed, "Johnny's Song."

Musically speaking, what do you love that your friends don't know about? What's your favorite guilty pleasure?

I play in a classic rock cover band, and we play most people's guilty pleasures. However, as a teacher, you have to dig "Schoolhouse Rock."

What band or artist changed your life, and how?

I say this, and people tell me I am such a daddy's girl, but my dad is truly what made me want to play music. When I was a kid, he would pull out his acoustic guitar and play old Beach Boys and Beatles songs--it really made me want to play music. My mom and dad bought me my first guitar, and I have played music ever since.

Figurative gun to your head, whatis your favorite album of all time?

Depends on the genre.
