My grandparents took me to the Charlestown Racetrack in West Virginia to see Tammy Wynette and George Jones.

How many total albums do you own (CDs, vinyl, cassettes, 8-tracks)?
2,000 regular CDs, 750 local; loads of cassettes; 100 12-inch vinyl; and 200 45s. I even have 8-tracks.
Do you download music, and if so, legally?
Legally, or with the permission to use as a promotion. The only thing illegal I did was burning The Black Crowes' Amorica, but I bought it eventually.

Michael Jackson, Off the Wall (vinyl) and Thriller (cassette).
What song would you like played at your funeral?
AC/DC "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)," followed by "Have a Drink on Me."
Musically speaking, what do you love that your friends don't know about? What's your favorite guilty pleasure?
I don't hide anything ... and I love Barry Manilow and Randy Travis.
What band or artist changed your life, and how?
10,000 Maniacs. At the time, I didn't really know about alternative rock, just pop music. There are lots of political and educational messages in their songs.
Figurative gun to your head, what is your favorite album of all time?
The soundtrack to my life! It would be filled with No. 1 hits that got me through certain times of my life. Better yet, it would be a box set of albums with 10,000 Maniacs, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, the best of Barry Manilow and Randy Travis, among others.
