Good luck John. I have enjoyed reading your coverage and occasionally even your odd opinions. I will miss this feature, which has been the only regular visit I've made over the past couple of years.
Phis is an interesting guy. I enjoyed his pieces in ADS often. And I remember him doing movie reviews on the radio several years ago. I have heard many hard-luck stories from authors trying to get published or find a way to make it their chosen career, Phil V. is one of those guys I hope it happens for.
Here's an additional idea people might actually be interested in. Why does KOLD have only females on the air? The Good Morning Tucson show which runs before CBS Morning Show feature 2 (two) female anchors (both in their 20's), 1 female weather anchor and 1 female traffic anchor. Their newsroom update reporter who comes on when there is national breaking news is also female. Occasionally--and it is rare--they will have a male reporter out in the field, but they also have 3 females to 1 male out there. KVOA has 2 male and 2 female. KGUN has 2 female 2 male. My wife thinks KOLD is a lesbian thing.

I'm a man and I think funny women are funny. But the constant references to "people" who say "women aren't funny" may become a self fulfilling prophecy.
