Modernism Week

The Historic Preservation Foundation for Tucson presents a week of events, activities and parties celebrating Tucson's Mid-Century architecture and cultural treasures. Presenters include Tucson architectural icon Edward Nelson, Herman Miller's Adam Call, Pan Am stewardess and retired supermodel Carole Mallory and GM's retired transportation designer Jim Ewan among others. Special events include a modernist cocktail party at the house architect Charles Cox designed for himself in 1963, an opening reception at the Friedman and Jobusch-designed Chase Bank at Broadway Boulevard and Country Club Road, a vintage trailer show and a home tour featuring a chapel designed by Paolo Soleri and the Margaret Sanger house designed by Art Brown.
