Miracle Mile Open House and Tour
Tours of historic and revitalized features of Miracle Mile take place from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m., Friday, May 10, between Oracle Road and Fairview Avenue; free. Carlos Lozano, founder of Vanishing Tucson, and Demion Clinco, president of the Tucson Historic Preservation Foundation, give presentations at 5:45 and 6:30 p.m., respectively, at Ghost Ranch Lodge, 801 W. Miracle Mile. Guided tours of the lodge's cactus garden also are available. The historic Wayward Winds neon sign-light takes place from 7 to 7:30. An after-dark tour of Evergreen Cemetery and the graves of prominent Tucsonans begins at 8 p.m., led by historian and storyteller Ken Scoville.
