How about eliminate the 50 cent "Loser Fare" and make everyone under 65 pay the whole fair? These idiots have cigarettes, drugs and eat out constantly. Stop enabling them to get yet one more freebie in life. Even hardcore losers like the 90% riding Sun Tran paying the "Loser Fare" can swing $1.50....so make them! Let's be honest, when on the bus AT LEAST 70% of riders get the "Please show you id" prompt. Make these system-working dipshits pay full price and then there will be plenty of revenue for raises, cleaning mold and safety precautions.
