Re: “There's a New Sheriff in Town? Napier Up Over Nanos; Dems Winning Other Competitive Pima County Contests

Jim Nintzel and the Weekly have always been fair with me. I appreciate that a great deal. I will be very proud to serve you as your Sheriff.

Re: “Hell Yes! The 2016 Tucson Weekly Endorsements

Friends,

As you might imagine I have taken a lot of flak from republican circles for getting the endorsement of The Weekly. However, I am very proud of this endorsement and do not shy away from it at all. Of all candidates, the Sheriff should work to bridge all divides and be open to all people. I will always be open to all of you as your Sheriff. Working together we can make Pima County a better place.

Mark

Re: “Hell Yes! The 2016 Tucson Weekly Endorsements

Very proud to have the endorsement of the Tucson Weekly. I have worked hard to remove partisanship from this election and reach out to ALL people of Pima County. Let's work together to move our County and our Sheriffs Department forward.

Re: “Carmona Takes The Gloves Off

I would ask that people not allow partisanship to taint their view of this in one direction or the other. The fact is that there is an FBI investigation into corruption at the highest levels of our Sheriffs Department. Dr. Carmona felt compelled to speak out on the corruption and mistreat of PCSD personnel before the indictment of Chief Deputy Radtke. The Deputy Sheriff Association and Correction Officer Association have conducted a vote of a lack of confidence in the current appointed Sheriff. This is not about Carmona or a single group of politically motivated people picking on Mr. Nanos. There are some systemic problems at our Sheriffs Department which should be concerning to all citizens of the County. Public safety should not know partisanship. It is not a partisan issue. It is a community issue, a quality of life issue, an issue we are all stakeholders in. I would hope that you might look at my candidacy and believe as I do that it is time for a change.
