Michaels us a National Branded Big Box store. Is this not a local contest. Best of contest has become a big disappointment to all who vote and shop at local small businesses. Looking at winners it makes me sad that some of these people were picked when Gem and Mineral show is not a jeweler, it a event , best framing -Michael's should not be in mix. You should really only pick local shops.
I cannot believe that people picked Tucson Gem & Mineral show when they are not local. All the mom and pop stores and this is what they get, What a shame
I say Support LOCAL JEWELERS and Don't bother buying jewelry at The Gem Show where people from all walks of the earth come to get rid of their wares. You will not see them again and if you do they will not warranty anything you purchase. All of a sudden, they can't help you or won't return your calls. Fact in point, someone I know bought a diamond that was supposed to be a "good" deal. They were and told that it was a GIA diamond. But the person never sent them the paperwork or returned the calls they made to obtain paperwork. Well, turns out that when they brought it to a local jeweler to verify they were told that is is not what they bought. They tried to contact Gem show person and would not return their calls send the paperwork to them. thats just one story I heard. This really is WHY you should not trust strangers and go to people who will always be here.Plus they are supporters of our community and we should support them. Never will go to this event other than to buy $5 rocks or junk.
