The Trickhouse Live at Casa Libre on Friday, Dec. 12 features Tom Cho, Samuel Ace and Stephanie Brunson from 7 to 9 p.m. Suggested $5 donation. This week's artists: Cho has more than 70 fiction pieces published in journals and anthologies. His collection of fictions, "Look Who's Morphing," was shortlisted for multiple awards, including the 2010 Commonwealth Writers' Prize for Best First Book. Ace is the author of three collections of poetry: "Normal Sex," (Firebrand Books), "Home in three days. Don't wash.," a hybrid project of poetry, video and photography (Hard Press), and most recently "Stealth," co-authored with Maureen Seaton (Chax Press). He is a recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts grant, two-time finalist for a Lambda Literary Award in Poetry, winner of the Astraea Lesbian Writer's Fund Prize in Poetry, The Katherine Anne Porter Prize for Fiction, and the Firecracker Alternative Book Award in poetry. Brunson, currently working on her BFA at the UA, is an artist of many media, inspired by the landscape of the West, travel and ideas of home, and community. She makes fine art prints and cards from found paper scraps.
