All those good folks who run Tumamoc are earnest, well-intentioned researchers with a sincere respect for nature, right?
I can't help but wonder: If we somehow polled all the plants and animals and rocks and soil on that hill about the road...
wouldn't they probably rather have it left alone, or perhaps de-paved? I could be wrong but I have not heard
any good rationale for needing a new paved road.
