Ah yes, the Streetcar to Nowhere!

How about sweeping out a bus once in awhile or cleaning the seats?

Thanks for the clarification. I caught part of the FB mudslinging and since I don't frequent the DL group (I'm not a "joiner.") I was wondering if the Shanty had some sort of beef with liberals in general or something.

Sounds like they had every right to show these folks the door. Just because you have traditionally been allowed to use a space doesn't mean you own it. I guess they were asserting squatters rights or something.

Makes me very glad I'm not a "joiner" and never joined this group.

I see a "Hadley" slinging some mud at the Weekly in the comments here. Sounds like someone has a problem with adult behavior.

Gene Roddenberry hated Tucson because of a traffic ticket. Maybe MacFarlane got a ticket or something.

It does seem weird. He's doing Cosmos and UA's contributions to astronomy are unarguable. Likewise, we're the most liberal city in Arizona and that jibes with his politics. I don't get it. If he wants to swipe at Arizona he needs to look a bit more north toward the seat of all craziness - Phoenix and the state legislature.

    Re: “Ally's Follies
Isn't she the one who was asking for the county to send cops by her house every few minutes and phoning 911 for no reason? Or was that another Republican?

I'm an atheist, can I refuse to do business with Christians that I find offensive... say, Cath's Coven and the Morons out of Mesa?

    Re: “Editor's Note
My how times change. Many, many years ago a teacher at the high school I attended began dating a senior. Just after graduation they married and have been happily married for nearly 35 years (if my math is right). He was 22 and she was 18.

Just for comparison my husband is 10 years my senior although we didn't meet until I was in my 30's and he in his 40's.

Sometimes, our "outrage" pales when looked at with rational eyes.

I stopped watching Kitchen Nightmares because after a few years hearing Ramsey say "bollocks" every five minutes and all the bleeping had become tedious. Obviously, I'm out of the loop on this. Dang! LOL
