Wow. I completely agree with mercantilemomma!! I had the exact same experience. My husband and I visited there for the first time in 30 years, and we were both disappointed at how different the place is. It's still Old Tucson, but it seems neglected. The famous train is decaying out back, there are wrecked cars on the lot, the High Chapperal home has things lying around on the floor and the movie pictures are yellowing and faded. Old Tucson has so much potential. So many famous movies were filmed there. It is a historical place. Westerns will never go out of style, and Tucson has been famous for them. Tucson will not be famous for its water parks.
