Screw all y'all. Susana has been a boon to downtown for decades, and Poca and Poquito are two spots I return to every time I come home. If, by Mexican Food, you mean beans and yellow cheese, then there are plenty of places for you to spend your time and money. Enjoy them, that will leave extra room at Susana's for me.
Very nice article. The Tap Room and Tiger have been an intermittent constant over my "adult" life; as well as serving as a secondary work space for the a.k.a. Theatre. Okay, maybe not work, but inspiration certainly!
So, after wiping out the bars in historic structures that had stood where the transit center is now only succeeded in generating replacement bars downtown; yet another "new" development will come about. After the great success that the City has seen with the La Placita project, the Rio Nuevo debacle, and now opening up the Ronstadt Center as an opportunity to again completely disrupt traffic into downtown; excuse my doubt that anything productive, much less profitable, will come about from the "new development paradigm".
