International Symposium on Latin-American Music

This third annual symposium features numerous presentations and performances from Thursday, Jan. 20, through Saturday, Jan. 22. Most are free to the public. A gala concert featuring Mexico's National Symphony principal flutist Julieta Cedillo, with UA School of Music faculty members John Milbauer and William Dietz, takes place at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 20, at the UA School of Music's Crowder Hall (Speedway Boulevard and Park Avenue). $9 general; $7 UA employees and seniors; and $5 students. A performance of Julio Mata Oreamuno's Costa Rican zarzuela, Toyupán, takes place at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 21, at the Stevie Eller Dance Theater (1737 E.
