iBorder: Drones and Designs

Next time you question what cool events bring our UA community and the muggles of Tucson together, look to the wonderful people at the Confluencenter for Creative Inquiry. Their Show and Tell series at Playground Bar and Lounge, 278 E. Congress St. should be a regular part of your calendar. On Wednesday, Jan. 14, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Visiting scholar Benjamin Muller will talk about the virtual border and discuss technology, identity, surveillance and society. His show and tell is a journey to the virtual border using drones, biometric tech, artificial intelligence, surveillance and special design, and how all of that alters how we understand and interact with borders.
